How to slove the problem with paint marks?
1. Phenomenon: brush marks are left on the paint film, and a trace of uneven brush lines appear after drying, resulting in uneven thickness of the paint film.
2. Reason
A. the viscosity of coating is too high and the volatilization speed of diluent is too fast.
B. There is no parallel operation along the wood grain direction in the brushing of wood products.
C. The selected brush is too small or the bristles are too hard, or the brush is not kept properly, resulting in uneven or dry bristles.
D. The absorption capacity of the coated surface is too strong, so it is difficult to brush.
3. Countermeasure
A. adjust the construction viscosity of the coating and select the supporting diluent.
B. During the brushing construction, the first coat of paint shall be brushed along the wood grain direction.
C. To choose a softer brush, the oil management action should be light. After use, the oil brush shall be washed with diluent and kept properly. The oil brush with uneven bristles shall not be used as far as possible.
D. Seal the substrate with sealing primer, and then brush the primer and finish paint.
E. The paint selected for brushing shall have good leveling, and the diluent with appropriate volatilization speed shall be selected.
F. When brush marks are found, gently polish them with water sandpaper, clean the dust with clean rags, and then brush and apply the coating again.
