Artist brushes, also known as painting brushes, are pens used when drawing Western paintings. Artist brushes are similar in appearance to writing brushes, but the hairs of artist brushes are relatively hard, so they can start painting after dipping them in oil paint or watercolor.
After the artist brushes are used up and dried, we’d better wrap these artist brushes with linen cloth (which is the kind of canvas we usually paint oil paintings), and tie up rubber bands at both ends.
Why use cloth to wrap it up? It is because some oil will remain on our artist brushes after washing, which is easily damaged by wind. Although it looks troublesome but it is quick to do. Treating artist brushes well is to reduce our troubles when painting.
